ナイル
アメリカのテクニカル・デスメタル・バンド。
1993年、サウスカロライナ州グリーンビルで、カール・サンダース（vo, g）を中心に結成された。

中近東音楽とデスメタルを融合したような音楽性に特徴がある。

1998年4月、デビュー・アルバム『アマングスト・ザ・カタコムズ・オブ・ネフレン・カ（Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka）』をリリース。

2000年9月、セカンド・アルバム『ブラック・シーズ・オブ・ヴェンジェンス（Black Seeds of Vengeance）』をリリース。

2002年8月、サード・アルバム『イン・ゼア・ダーケンド・シュラインズ（In Their Darkened Shrines）』をリリース。「ウーナス・スレイヤー・オブ・ザ・ゴッズ（Unas Slayer of the Gods）」を収録。

2005年5月、4thアルバム『アナイアレイション・オブ・ザ・ウィケッド（Annihilation of the Wicked）』をリリース。

2007年7月、5thアルバム『イシファリック（Ithyphallic）』をリリース。「守りのパピルス（Papyrus Containing the Spell to Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks from He Who Is in the Water）」を収録。

2009年11月、6thアルバム『神に嫌われし者たち（Those Whom the Gods Detest）』をリリース。「黄泉の国への貴人の葬送（Permitting the Noble Dead to Descend to the Underworld）」を収録。

2012年7月、7thアルバム『アット・ザ・ゲイト・オブ・セス（At the Gate of Sethu）』をリリース。

2015年8月、8thアルバム『ホワット・シュッド・ノット・ビー・アンアースド（What Should Not Be Unearthed）』をリリース。
